Reesie Pooh is 1!

Hi, folks.  It's Emmanuel.  I thought I would tell you about my little brother's big birthday celebration!

On Reese's actual birthday (6-23), we had a family celebration, just me, Reesie, mama, and dada.  Mama made a special breakfast and dressed Reese in his official birthday shirt!

When Reesie woke up, I presented him with his gift from me.  I took money out of my own piggy bank and bought him a miniature toy fishing pole, so that one day he can go fishing with dadda and me.

We spent lots of time hanging out in our baby pool!

And, we had a visit from my mom's walking buddy and one of our favorite friends!  Even though she went to UT like daddy, she gave Reese a Carolina baseball and bat for his birthday.  This made mama jump up and down!  We really love our walking buddy.  As a matter of fact, mama says that I think she's the best thing since super double coupons at Harris Teeter.

After Reese played with his bat and ball, mama and dada finally let him have what he's been waiting for all year long.....CHOCOLATE CAKE!

Now, typically chocolate cake goes best with a chocolate icing, but remember, Reese isn't like me...he prefers savory foods over sweet, so after a few test runs, mama made him the perfect size smash cake with peanut butter icing!

Reese wasn't totally into the cake (it got all over his hands, and well, he didn't like that part), but I LOVED it!  Daddy let me have a nice, big piece.  After we got Reese's hands cleaned, we packed in the van and headed to the best yogurt shop in town...

With so many choices for toppings, Reese couldn't make up his mind...so dada got a fruity yogurt while mama topped hers (mine) with M&Ms.

Reese had such a great day, and I made out pretty well myself!  Although our parents were tired, there was one more celebration...the birthday bash!

The birthday party was supposed to be a small gathering of family to celebrate Reese.  Well, it ended up being more like a carnival with family, neighbors, and close friends.  When I looked around at Reese's party, I felt so blessed that we have so many people to show us love.

We played and laughed and got all wet and dirty!  We had a blast.  Reese had another cake...and this time he knew what to do with it.

I can't believe my baby brother is 1.  I love this age.  He's playing with me and laughing at all of my jokes.  He tries to chase me, and he even tries to help mama cook in the kitchen.  I think we are going to have a lot of fun as a 1 year old and 3 year old.

I love my baby brother, he's the best in the whole world...all the way to the moon and back!
