Dressed alike for Sunday morning worship

Let him eat GREEN BEANS!

Well, after trying many different foods...it seems as though Reese prefers savory foods over sweet (a man after my own heart!)  I steamed and pureed some green beans with just a tough of garlic...and he LOVED them!

Next up...peas and probably broccoli!

Emmanuel was clapping for Reese and it looked as if Reese was trying to imitate him.  So, we asked E to do it again (so that we could catch it on tape), and you can see that Reese moved his hand and attempted to "clap."

6 Months Old!

Hey, folks!  I'm 6 months old.

I thought I was getting into a pretty regular routine, and then I discovered two very awesome things:  my new teeth AND moving around on the floor!  My teeth are nice, shiny, and sharp!  And, now that I have them, I love to bite on everything!  Mama thought that I would stop stuffing everything in my mouth once the teeth cut through, but she didn't realize that I like biting them even more with my teeth than without.  She said that I'm supposed to get a LOT more by the time I turn two!  I can't wait!  She wasn't clever enough, however, to get a picture of my two tooth. LOL.  I guess one day I'll let her show them to the world.

I've also discovered eating food...but that is not something that I like.  Mama makes the baby food, but somehow I know it doesn't taste like the food everybody else eats.  See, what she doesn't know is that I watch her and Emmanuel cook...and I see the food that the rest of the family eats.

He was cutting green peppers and washing mushrooms and eating cheese.  I think I heard them say something about homemade pizza.  It happens to be my dad's favorite, and we sometimes make it to surprise him!

Anyway, their food looked really good...and all I got was some sweet potatoes.

She's also tried butternut squash, avocado, and banana...yuck!  So far, I don't like any of them that well.  I want what they are eating.  Their food smells like oregano and garlic and onions.  Mine smells like, well, food that has just been baked and mashed up (although I did taste cinnamon on my sweet potatoes and that was pretty good).

Mama says that she's hopeful that I will like the food eventually and that soon she'll be able to spice it up.

I've also been moving around...a LOT.  People say I'm trying to keep up with my older brother, and well, they are probably right.  I love being on the floor and playing with spoons and bowls.  And, I've just discovered that I can push up on things....mama is really excited that I'm becoming a big boy!

She put on Emmanuel's piano and I just banged away...until I fell over!

The doctor says that I'm thinning out.  I'm 19.2 pounds and about 26-27 inches.  This means that I'm in the 50% in height...I'm getting tall for a Foster baby!  I'm wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes now.

I also have ezcema, which means no wool, no fur, special soap, special lotion, and special detergent.  My eczema's not bad at all...but we still have to take these special precautions.  I love that my mama makes such a fuss over my eczema, although she's not too happy to give up her wool scarves this season.   Good thing Nashville doesn't get too cold!

I think I like this thing called life.

People always want to hold me and make me laugh.  It's so nice to have everyone's undivided attention.  My cousin, Mimi, runs to me everytime she sees me and she thinks she's a pro at getting me to sleep.

I'll give her props!  At 6 years old, she managed to do an excellent job taking care of Emmanuel and me. Emmanuel is still the best thing I enjoy about life.  He's always in my face, and most of the time I really want him there.   I love it!
